This vector trimming tool will allow you to mask portions
of your FASTA-formatted sequences containing your selected vector sequences.
Initially, the list of vectors available to choose for trimming will only be
available in a dropdown menu, though we will be adding the ability for the user
to enter his or her own vector sequence.

- If you would like to see a vector added to this tool that is not listed, please email
Robert Bogden with the name and sequence
of the vector.
- Choosing 'Mask Vector' will mask all of the selected vector contained in the sequence
- Choosing 'Trim Vector' will remove all of the selected vector contained in the sequence
- Default word size for vector trimming is 10 and cannot be changed, meaning some small
segments of vector may not be masked and/or trimmed.
- You should only BLAST non-masked sequences (trimmed or unedited sequences). BLASTing
masked sequences will result in an error being returned from the BLAST server.
