Randomly Sheared Shotgun Libraries

Shotgun libraries are an integral tool in efficiently generating DNA sequence or identifying specific genes from cloned DNA contained in a BAC or cosmid vector. We can provide randomly sheared shotgun libraries in vectors that are easily sequenced with common primers. Depending on the type of project, clones within these libraries can be customized to carry inserts within a narrow size range. We will provide transformed cells or frozen subclones arrayed on 96 or 384 well plates, ready to prep and sequence. If you wish, we can prep DNA, sequence, trim and assemble the subclones.
