We have successfully sequenced thousands of PCR products, plasmids, and BACs from clients all over the world, and our DNA sequencing services are very highly rated for their turnaround time, quality of results, and competitive prices.

Featured Services: DNA Sequencing Certificates

What is a DNA Sequencing Certificate?

Amplicon Express' DNA Sequencing certificates are the joint efforts of our web programmers and sequencing team to bring all of our clients the lowest possible prices in DNA sequencing while maintaining the standard of quality customers have come to expect from Amplicon Express. Contact us by emailing us directly, or by phone at 1-877-332-8080.

You can purchase a DNA sequencing certificate good for 1000, 384, 192, or 96 sequencing reactions which will entitle you to prices as low as $4.95 per read, as well as other discounts and benefits on services associated with DNA sequencing. You can even manage your certificates online as well as view your sequencing reaction usage by date!

DNA Sequencing Options:

Low Throughput DNA Sequencing Services

High Quality, Fast Turnaround Sequencing

Amplicon Express' Low Throughput DNA Sequencing Service focuses on the researcher who periodically has critical samples that he or she needs sequenced in a short amount of time while providing high quality results.

The number of samples with this service typically ranges from 1 to 96, and clients usually submit samples in 1.5ml tubes, 8-strip tubes, or 96 well plates. Turnaround time on low-throughput orders is typically very fast, and is usually less than 2 business days from the time we receive your samples in our lab. Discounts for low-throughput DNA sequencing are typically not available, and will be priced at our published list prices.

High Throughput DNA Sequencing Services

Low Cost & Great Customer Service

Amplicon Express offers high-throughput sequencing services for researchers needing to have more than 100 samples processed at any give time. Typically, you may be looking to sequence a shotgun library, cDNA library, ESTs, samples for ID purposes, or even an entire genome. We have the tools and knowledge for sequencing and bioinformatics that will drive your research to a new level, and allow you to focus on research and discovery.

Amplicon has recently expanded its ability to process high-throughput projects by partnering with Agencourt Biosciences, a well-known, excellent provider of high-throughput DNA sequencing.

Extremely competitive pricing discounts are available for large single orders and for standing orders, whether you are only looking for DNA sequencing or are requesting our sequencing service in conjunction with one of our library services.

Shotgun Library DNA Sequencing Services

Sequencing Your BAC, YAC, or Cosmid Libraries

Shotgun Library Sequencing may be utilized after you have found a clone of interest in your BAC or cDNA library. Briefly, the process of shotgun sequencing involves the following steps:

  • Prepare ultra-pure DNA from your BAC/YAC/Cosmid clone of interest.
  • Digest or shear your ultra-pure DNA and select the appropriate size range for your library.
  • Ligate your sheared DNA into the vector of your choice.
  • Transform the vector + insert into a suitable host, typically a commercially available brand of modified E.coli.
  • Plate the transformation onto growth media and allow the clones to express a selection mechanism to indicate the presence of clones with an insert and clones without an insert.
  • Pick the positive-insert clones into a 96 or 384 well format for arraying and storage.
  • Grow the selected plates of clones for sequencing, and prepare highly pure DNA.
  • Perform sequencing on the highly pure DNA.
  • Analyze, assemble, and annotate your sequence data.

Even from this brief description, there are quite a few steps in this process that can be technically complex and time-consuming (even if everything goes correctly!), taking you away from the more important steps of your research process. Why not let Amplicon Express provide you with a non-committal quote for any or all of the services listed above? With our proven expertise and excellent customer service, we can accelerate your research process and let you get back to the discovery process.

Whole Genome DNA Sequencing Services

Complete Sequencing & Assembly for Your Whole Genome

Whole Genome Sequencing is similar to the shotgun library sequencing process, though the library itself is prepared from the DNA of an entire organism instead of an individual clone. Whole genome sequencing is typically successful with organisms having smaller total genome sizes. Briefly, the whole genome sequencing process occurs as follows:

  • Prepare ultra-pure DNA from your organism of interest.

The process is nearly identical to the shotgun library sequencing process, and equally as complex. In order to obtain the highest quality library and sequencing results, please contact Jason Dobry or request a quote for these services.

BAC End DNA Sequencing Services

Link Your Clones Together With BAC End Sequencing

BAC End Sequencing is a method of choice for proving overlap of two clones in a contig map that has been generated by BAC Fingerprinting techniques. End sequences can be aligned to find matching regions, and confirmation of a physical genome map is made much easier with these techniques.

BAC End sequencing requires large amounts of concentrated, highly pure DNA to achieve the best results. For more information regarding this sequencing service, please contact Jason Dobry

Genewalking Services

Close Assembly Gaps and Completely Sequence Your Gene of Interest

Amplicon Express Genewalking Services are very useful for the researcher with a clone of interest that is not large enough for a shotgun library, and is small enough to walk in a reasonable amount of time. Genewalking involves the process of sequencing the ends of a clone, and designing a new primer set on the 3' ends of each read in order that sequence generation can continue into the unknown frontier of the selected clone. The rate at which a genewalk can be completed typically depends on the speed of primer synthesis, and though it is one of the slower methods of sequencing, it is still very useful for closing gaps in genome assemblies and confirming a clone that may be used later for protein expression or other purposes.
