Ready-To-Run Sequencing Reactions

Amplicon Express offers our ready-to-run sequencing service for researchers wishing to save money by performing the cycle sequencing step themselves. The researcher may handle all steps up to and including sequencing reaction purification, and have Amplicon Express sequence the samples for a minimum of cost.

Horse Silhouette  About Ready-To-Run Sequencing

Low Prices

Ready-to-run sequencing reactions are priced as low as $3.00 per reaction, and there is no requirement for how many or how few samples you may submit. We can remove excess dye terminator after the cycle sequencing reaction for an additional charge. Refer to our sequencing pricelist for costs associated with ready-to-run sequencing reactions. Please note that Amplicon Express will only re-sequence ready-to-run samples at no cost if an entire gel fails due to operator error or equipment failure.

Fast Turnaround Times

Your ready-to-run sequencing samples are typically processed in 24 hours or less with no extra costs associated for this fast turnaround time. Data is delivered via our password protected ftp site, or you may choose to have it delivered by email. Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of our sequencing volumes, some data for ready-to-run samples may take up to 2 business days to return.

Unrivaled Technical Support

Amplicon Express offers many ways for you to resolve technical support and troubleshooting issues:

How To Send Your Samples

The following guidelines will help to insure that your ready-to-run samples make it to our laboratory in good condition.

  1. For non-purified (excess dye terminator not removed after cycle sequencing) samples:
    1. Do not dry samples.
    2. Submit fewer than 15 samples in 1.5ml tubes with the lids wrapped in parafilm. For greater than 15 samples, use tightly sealing 8 or 12-strip tubes and caps.
    3. Do not store samples for long periods of time, especially in full light.
    4. Do not freeze sequencing reactions.
    5. View our Shipping Recommendations page for more information on shipping liquid samples to us, or contact Jason Dobry for more information.

  2. For purified samples (dye terminator has been removed after cycle sequencing):
    1. Dry samples in a heated vacuum centrifuge.
    2. Dried samples may be submitted in 1.5 ml tubes with caps wrapped in parafilm for 15 or fewer samples, or tightly sealing 8/12 strip tubes and caps, or 96-well plates sealed in parafilm.
    3. Samples may be stored until needed in a dark, cool area.
    4. Contact Jason Dobry for more information.

  3. To ship your samples to our lab, you can download and fill out our Excel-based orderform, or you can submit your order online by first registering a free sequencing account, or by logging in to your current account. For further recommendations on how to submit and ship your samples, please read our Sequencing FAQ or visit our how-to-order pages.
